The FBI has joined in the search for a woman accused of robbing a northeast Eugene bank last month.
Eugene police have been investigating the robbery since it occurred at 4:40 p.m. Oct. 21 at Oregon Community Credit Union at Chad Drive and Coburg Road. The woman entered the bank, demanded cash and left with an undisclosed amount of money. She left the bank, possibly in a silver pickup truck, believed to be a later model Dodge 1500 double cab.
On Monday, the FBI announced it had posted the robbery on its Unknown Bank Robbers web page in an effort to generate more tips and help identify the woman responsible.
The woman is described as being in her mid-30s, approximately 5-foot-6-inches tall, with a heavy build, a round face and a cleft chin. She had pierced ears and may have bleach blonde hair, although she was wearing a knit hat during the robbery. She also may wear glasses.
During the robbery, the woman was wearing a black or dark grey V-neck long-sleeved shirt or sweater with three buttons at the top. She was also wearing black pants with light-colored flowers or circles, black and tan shoes, a black purse with silver handles, a dark grey or green beanie, and sunglasses with purple lenses.
