ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Two people were injured during a bank robbery Wednesday afternoon, according to Anchorage Police.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch at 5740 Debarr Road.
“One person, wearing a mask, carrying a shotgun, had gone in and demanded money from one of the tellers,” said Sgt. Cameron Hokenson.
There was no word on how the victims were injured, but Hokenson said the injuries were “not critical”. Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
APD says it was still developing suspect information, but believed the robber escaped in a vehicle.
Police on the scene said the F.B.I. will take over the investigation.
